About BTSI

Our Mission & Vision

Why BTSI exists, and what we are working towards.

Our Mission

To build disciplined, capable and service-minded young citizens by delivering practical, structured training in leadership, physical fitness, life-safety skills, adventure and community service.

Our mission is not decoration. A cadet who trains with BTSI should leave better able to lead, better able to respond in an emergency, and more willing to serve than when they started.

Our Vision

To grow a strong, self-reliant youth cadre across India — trained to high standards, grounded in discipline, and ready to contribute to their families, their communities and the nation.

We imagine a network of branches where a young person can find structured training close to home, and a standard of conduct worth carrying into every other part of life.

What We Work Toward

Core objectives

Everything BTSI does maps back to one of these objectives.

Discipline & Conduct

Build self-control, regularity and respect for instruction as the foundation of every cadet.

Leadership Development

Develop responsibility, command capability and the confidence to lead others.

Life-Saving Skills

Train every cadet in first aid, fire safety and disaster response.

Physical Fitness

Improve endurance, strength, coordination and overall physical capability.

Adventure & Outdoors

Build confidence in outdoor and adventure settings with proper safety discipline.

Community Service

Use trained skills for the benefit of the local community and nation.

Education & Awareness

Carry out awareness work on health, safety, civic duty and national values.

Recognition of Excellence

Recognise sustained effort and achievement so that good work is visibly rewarded.

Code of Conduct

Values we expect

These are not slogans. They are the standards cadets are assessed against.

  • Respect. For instructors, for fellow cadets, for every person regardless of rank.
  • Honesty. In training reports, assessment and personal conduct.
  • Punctuality. Training begins on time. So does everything else.
  • Responsibility. For one's own kit, one's own conduct, one's unit.
  • Safety. No cadet is asked to take an unnecessary risk, and none should.
  • Service. Strength is measured in what it does for others.
